Senior Service Designer (Digital Transformationamp; UX) — RemoteThis role is for our client, a government institution, supporting digital transformation and service innovation initiatives. There are 11 open positions available. The successful candidates will work with the Digital Design and Delivery Division (3D) to enhance government services using human-centered design, agile methodologies, and modern data practices.What is in it for you:• Hourly salary of $90 to $100, based on experience.• 12-month contract with a maximum extension term of 24 months.• Full-time position: 36.25 hours per week.• Enjoy the flexibility of remote work with occasional in-person meetings in Alberta.• Join a passionate and inclusive team of professionals.Responsibilities: • Apply human-centered design methods to program reviews and digital transformation initiatives.• Conduct research, define user stories, refine backlogs, and support sprint planning and execution.• Analyze service efficiency and accessibility to improve user experiences.• Evaluate user and employee interactions across various service channels and identify improvements.• Deliver key service design activities, including:o Field research and behavioral analysiso Co-design workshopso Prototype design, testing, and concept validationo Journey mapping and service blueprint developmento Process mapping and service prototypingo User story mapping and usability testingo Performance measurement, analysis, and reportingo Strategy and roadmap developmento Define end-to-end service journeys, outlining key needs, opportunities, solutions, and performance metrics.• Collaborate with program teams (executives and front-line staff) to co-design and implement policy and process improvements.• Develop strategies for integrating new solutions into existing service operations, addressing policy innovation, change management, and organizational design.What you will need to succeed:• 2 years of experience with service design research and outputs.• 2 years of experience working within a cross-functional product team in an Agile environment.• 3 years of experience planning, conducting, and analyzing findings from research (nice to have).• 2 years of experience working as a Service Designer in a cross-functional team to deliver solutions (nice to have).• 2 years of experience working with change management (nice to have).• 2 years of experience working as a Service Designer on projects of comparable size and complexity (nice to have).• 1 year of experience observing, analyzing, and reporting on user interactions (nice to have).Why Recruit ActionRecruit Action (agency permit: AP-2000003) provides recruitment services through quality support and a personalized approach to job seekers and businesses.
