Job Description

Join our dynamic Construction Team at The Canadian Brewhouse, where we’re dedicated to excellence in every project we undertake. As we continue to expand, we #39;re seeking hardworking and dedicated individuals to join our team.We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Shipper/Receiveramp; Skilled Labourer to join our team. This dual-role position involves overseeingshipping and receiving duties while also performing a variety of skilled labour tasks in support of our construction department. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, physically fit, safety-conscious, and has hands-on experience in fast-paced team environment. Responsibilities: Shippingamp; Receiving Duties

  • Receive incoming shipments, verify contents against purchase orders/invoices
  • Inspect materials for damage and report discrepancies
  • Label, sort and organize inventory in the warehouse or storage yard.
  • Prepare items for outgoing shipments including packaging, labeling, and documentation.
  • Coordinate deliveries and pickups with transportation providers
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory movements using inventory management tracking sheets.
  • Deliver to site and store, inventory and or millwork from shop
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks and other material handling equipment safely.
Skilled Labour Duties
  • Assist with construction, assembly, installation, or maintenance tasks as required.
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, and small machinery safely and efficiently.
  • Perform physical tasks such as lifting, loading/unloading materials, and site clean up.
  • Follow site safety protocols and contribute to a safe woking environment.
  • Support skilled tradespeople (eg. carpenters, millworkers, operations) as needed
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a shipping/receiving or warehouse environment.
  • Experience in general labour or skilled trades (construction, fabrication, etc.).
  • Valid forklift certification is an asset.
  • Strong physical stamina and the ability to lift up to 50lbs regularly.
  • Basic computer skills for inventory tracking and documentation.
  • Strong organization skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid Drivers License (Class 5 or equivalent) is a requirement, clean drivers abstract.
Work Environment
  • Indoor/outdoor work depending on tasks
  • Exposure to various weather conditions and physical environments
  • Use of PPE (personal protective equipment) required at all times.
