The successful candidate’s primary responsibility will be to effectively participate as a team member in the operation and maintenance of our gas wells and facilities. The operations team ensures the maximum performance of mechanical, instrumentation and facilities while managing the day-to-day operation of wells, pipelines, and field booster compressors.Work Environment :The shift is 8 days on – 6 days off working a 10-hour workday and willing to take callouts as required.Responsibilities• Support and comply with the policies, goals, efforts, and programs of CVEs Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) Management System• Ensure HSE issues are given primary consideration in all activities undertaken within area of responsibility. Models and coaches on behaviors to help a safety culture in which unsafe acts and/or conditions, no matter in what area of responsibility, are to be reported so corrective actions can be taken• Understand and perform safety, environmental and regulatory responsibilities such as hazard identification, equipment lockout, emergency response and implement safe work procedures• Promotes a culture where setting goals, achieving and measuring results is expected• Operate equipment in a safe and efficient manner• Maintain books for accounting.• Perform housekeeping, performance monitoring and maintenance activities• Must be able to meet all the Operators roles and responsibilities as per CVE document.Basic/Required Qualifications• This is a safety sensitive position and will be subject to the relevant requirements of the Cenovus Alcohol and Drug policy which includes pre-assignment testing• Strong field/plant operating background• Ability to work within a team environment• Utilize computer programs without assistance (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and SAP)• Must have strong troubleshooting skills• Must reside in the Edson area• Legally authorized to work in Canada on a full-time basis without restrictionsPreferred Qualifications :• Strong team player• Strong verbal and written communication skills• Willing to champion changePlease Note: This Posting Closes April 25th, 2023QualificationsOil and Gas Operating Experience: 2 years (Desired)Education/CertificationsMinimum high school diploma (Required)Valid Class 5 Drivers License (drivers abstract is required) (Required)Valid and updated safety tickets (First Aid, CPR, TDG, WHMIS and H2S certifications) (Desired)Quick Apply
