Job Description

Do you love, love, love, I mean really love dogs, cats and the outdoorsDo we have the best job for you! What if you had an excuse to leave the house to walk dogs, cuddle kittens and supplement your income at the same timeWere looking for responsible, trustworthy, and committed individuals to come aboard our team on a part-time basis who are confident working with dogs of all sizes. Our off-leash dog walkers are responsible for picking up, up to six dogs for their off-leash adventure, in addition to walking some of our on-leash clients and providing pat care. Our ideal candidate has a passion for animals, is looking for an active and rewarding job, and can provide high-quality pet care.Is this you!What We Need From You:

  • 18 years old or older
  • Reside in Edson, Alberta
  • A clean criminal record and drivers abstract
  • A drivers license and a registered and insured vehicle (ability to transport 4-6 large dogs safely) **A truck with a canopy is not appropriate**
  • Experience with walking dogs off-leash
  • Availability between 7 am-12 pm Monday-Friday.
  • Ability to lift 60lbs and walk for 8-20km
  • Have a smartphone with data
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • A positive attitude

A Day In The Life:
  • Transporting dogs to and from the clients homes and to designated walking locations.
  • Safely walk up to six dogs off-leash at one time.
  • Cleaning up after dogs. Picking up and disposing of dog poop.
  • Providing food, water & administering medication (if needed)
  • Ensuring the health & safety of pets.
  • Pretending you are a professional pet photographer, taking selfies and videos of you and the pets!
  • Sharing your day on our social stories.
  • Communicating with pet parents and sending pet visit updates.
  • May include pet sitting and on-leash walking.
  • Other tasks as required.
