Prairie Flour Mills Ltd. is a Manitoba based wheat/flour processing company and serves all facets of the North American food industry, including bakery and foodservice distributors, as well as manufacturers. We are currently seeking a highly motivated person to fill a shift Miller position.This position offers exceptional opportunities to grow your professional career while maintaining a healthy and fulfilling work/life balance.Responsibilities: Milling activities: Running the mill operation as per production instructions while maintaining equipment, milling yield/extraction, and capacities at the maximum level.Maintain compliance with all quality, safety, and sanitation regulations. Work with the QA team to ensure all products meet specifications and participate in food safety audits.Participate in regular production meetings and work with relevant departments to ensure meeting shipment deadlines.Maintaining milling and production records for audits.Participating in preventative maintenance and record-keeping of mill equipment.Responsible for ensuring of assigned tasks are successfully completed and all activities assigned to the team are completed within the acceptable time frames to ensure production disruption is minimal.Follow Health and Safety guidelines for a safe workplace environment.Report to senior millers on any activities/tasks that could disrupt production.Ensure good manufacturing practice, hazardous awareness, critical control points, and company policies and procedures are followed.Other duties as required.REQUIREMENTS: 3-5 years of experience working in the milling industry is required.A strong technical background will be an asset.Must be able to handle mechanical problems in the milling process.Computer, internet, and Microsoft office skills.Strong communication skills including verbal and written.Must be able to work flexible hours.Must be a Canadian Resident.We offer a comprehensive benefits package and competitive wages based on experience and knowledge. 3 references must accompany the resumeNOTE: Only online applications will be considered, NO personal site visits and NO phone calls, please.
