From the Canadian woodlands to the North American home building market, we strive for sustainability, collaboration, safety, and continuous improvement.Job DescriptionEACOM – Elk Lake sawmill is looking to fill SUMMER JOBS - GENERAL LABOURERS term positions in from May to August 2022.Reporting to the supervisor, you will be performing in various tasks related to production.RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Attach lumber bundles for drying outdoors;
  • Rebuild and replenish packages of lumber and planed lumber overturned in the yard;
  • Clean the yard and other area of the plants;
  • Perform housekeeping indoor/outdoor;
  • Clean during work stoppages areas inaccessible during operations;
  • Perform other related duties.

  • Autonomy and initiative;
  • Punctuality;
  • Exercise vigilance and adhere to all health/safety policies.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
  • Week schedule 4/3 or 5/2 and weekend work schedules: 40 paid hours.
  • Weekend working hours: 3 days: 36h paid 40.
Work Schedule: From Monday to Friday – 40 hours/ week.Location: The position is based at the Elk Lake Sawmill but the expectation is to go on request to the Gogama mill.Starting date: Flexible in May, until end of August 2022Qualifications
  • To be of legal working age.
  • French is considered an asset.
  • Be available to work on day and/or night shifts as needed (variable schedule).
