KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Post monthly journal entries for month-end close.
  • Prepare monthly Accrual schedules
  • Complete account reconciliations for bank accounts, accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), inventory, and other general ledger accounts.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
  • Support the month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Prepare monthly GST/HST returns.
  • Maintain and update accounting records and files.
  • Assist with pulling documentation to support our annual review external review engagement
  • Monitor and maintain financial information in accounting systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Review and approve weekly employee time cards
  • Perform other accounting duties as assigned.
RequirementsREQUIRED EXPERIENCEamp; QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s degree or College diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or a related field
  • Proficiency in accounting software
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
PREFERRED SKILLS:
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics
  • Experience in the manufacturing industry
