Integrated Medical Labs & Kettle Valley Seed are producers of certified hemp seed in British Columbia.The company is seeking a motivated individual to carry out all activities related to hemp seed production under the guidance of the company’s Director of Research (CSGA-approved breeder) at the company’s seed production facility in Victoria, BC, starting Nov 2022. The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:· Oversee all aspects of cannabis (hemp) cultivation from seed to seed, including but not limited to, seeding, plant maintenance, maintenance of cultivation parameters such as heat and humidity, harvest, drying, seed cleaning, and facility sanitation;· Manage and maintain all cultivation equipment at facility;· Manage inventory and procurement of supplies as needed;· Manage the facility’s IPM program;· Manage the cultivation process as directed by the company’s seed breeder/Director of Research;· Report to the Director of Research.The qualified candidate will possess the following skills:· A minimum 5 years of experience with cannabis cultivation;· A good general understanding of plant development;· A good understanding of cannabis pests and diseases;· Excellent communication skills;· Ability to accurately follow directions;· Ability to work well in a group setting;· Basic computer skills;· Ability to maintain batch records and documents;· Work experience at a license cannabis cultivation facility is a plus;· Experience with cannabis seed production is a double plus.Salary to commensurate with experienceJob Type: Full-timeSalary: From $17.00 per hourBenefits:
