Job Description

Apartment Caretaker - Resident (Esquimalt)We are looking for an experienced resident caretaker or caretaker couple, for a 47 unit, residential building located in Esquimalt, in the Greater Victoria area.Duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Showing and renting residential apartments. Completing Residential Tenancy Agreements.
  • Independently completing general maintenance and repair projects.
  • Meeting with and providing access to external service providers and contractors.
  • Maintaining a flexible working schedule, including being on call to respond to emergencies.
  • General administrative duties, including writing emails, scanning documents, posting notices, and completing forms.
  • Building positive relationships with tenants and promptly responding to their concerns.
  • Maintaining proper records and updating the Property Manager about building matters.
Preferred Candidates will have:
  • Previous experience as a Building Caretaker.
  • A good understanding of the Residential Tenancy Act and how to apply the Act in real life situations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and solid computer skills with experience using MS Office, (Word, Excel and Outlook).
  • A vehicle, or access to a vehicle.
  • Provide an acceptable Police Information Check and BC Class 5 Driver’s Abstract.
