The successful candidate will supervise our site service personnel, and our surface overland belt crews to ensure safe and efficient maintenance work that is coordinated between the overland belts, site services and the K3 Shaft crew. This role will primarily supervise maintenance work with both Mosaic hourly employees and contractor personnel.What will you do

  • Responsible for crew safety and cooperative coordination of equipment and resources between K3 Surface, and the K1 & K2 Overland belts and transfer houses.
  • Ensure crew training requirements are carried out and up to date.
  • Coordinate, assign and supervise Overland belt crews and related belt maintenance work.
  • Callout operational/maintenance people as required; and keep an accurate log of calls.
  • Manage the shift operation and integrity of the surface operations.
Our Ideal Candidate Will Have the Following:
  • Grade 12/GED is required.
  • Several years of mining experience and the ability to work with people; as well as coordinate functions with other departments, construction & contractors.
  • Basic computer skills required, although additional computer skills is an asset.
  • Mine rescue training and experience is an asset.
  • Employment is subject to successfully completing Mosaics pre-employment checks including criminal, drug and alcohol testing.
  • Must be authorized to work in Canada

Two sites, K1 and K2 (named after the element symbol for potassium ‘K’) have supplied potash to global customers for decades. Currently, a third mine is being built, sensibly named K3.Underground mining operations at K1 and K2 ended in June 2021. An overland conveyance system carries K3 ore to the existing K1 and K2 mills. As development continues at K3, operations will incrementally shift to the new, state-of-the-art mine.Esterhazy K3 Project - The K3 Project, located in Esterhazy, Saskatchewan, is next door to our existing K1 and K2 sites. K3 is the third mine to be built in Esterhazy. In June 2021, underground mining operations at K1 and K2 shifted over to K3. An overland conveyance system carries K3 ore to the existing K1 and K2 mills.
