The successful candidate will supervise the shift production crew to safely produce and ship quality potash for Mosaic.What will you be working on

  • Responsible for crew safety and plant security on the backshifts
  • Lead, schedule, coach, train, and develop hourly employees as needed (incl. safety and environmental)
  • Troubleshoot and address operational problems in the plant to maximize production
  • Facilitate ongoing communication between shifts and management to ensure proper and efficient plant operation
  • Callout operational/maintenance people as required and keep an accurate log of calls
  • Assist in the implementation of process improvements projects
  • Manage the operation/integrity of the tailings pile/system on the backshifts
What is required for this role
  • Grade 12/GED is required.
  • Several years of milling experience and the ability to work with people as well as co-ordinate functions with other service departments.
  • Basic computer skills required although additional computer skills would be an asset.
  • Employment is subject to successfully completing Mosaics pre-employment checks including criminal, drug and alcohol testing.
  • Must be authorized to work in Canada.

Currently, a third mine is being built, sensibly named K3.Underground mining operations at K1 and K2 ended in June 2021. An overland conveyance system carries K3 ore to the existing K1 and K2 mills. As development continues at K3, operations will incrementally shift to the new, state-of-the-art mine.Esterhazy K3 Project - The K3 Project, located in Esterhazy, Saskatchewan, is next door to our existing K1 and K2 sites. K3 is the third mine to be built in Esterhazy. In June 2021, underground mining operations at K1 and K2 shifted over to K3. An overland conveyance system carries K3 ore to the existing K1 and K2 mills.
