Job Description

Job Overview:The Building Maintenance Worker plays an essential role in the improvement, appearance and efficiency of Kingston Midstream’s interior and exterior Estevan office building through regular repairs, preventative maintenance and grounds keeping in a safe and secure manner. Reporting the Senior Admin Office Coordinator, this position is responsible for a wide variety of general building maintenance repairs and services.This is a 12 month temporary part-time position, Monday – Friday work schedule at 16 to 32 hours per week.Position Responsibilities

  • Perform and document routine inspections of premises
  • Grounds keeping, minor yard maintenance, grass mowing etc.
  • Safely monitor and ensure proper function of heating/cooling system
  • Safely operate outdoor equipment such as snow blowers and lawnmowers
  • Snow and ice removal from all entrances and walkway areas
  • Make adjustments and minor repairs such as plumbing, drywall repair, painting
  • Organize and assist with office and equipment moves
  • Long term office repair planning
  • Provide back-up coverage for warehouse personnel
  • Coordination and oversite of onsite Contractors
  • Pick-up or delivery service as required
  • Adhere to all company policies, guidelines and procedures
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Completed Grade 12 education or equivalent; Building Operators Certificate is an asset; WHMIS training is an asset
  • Minimum 3 years related experience
  • Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, heating, and fire safety systems
  • Ability to paint and repair minor drywall damage
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently
  • Proficient with basic computer and smartphone operation
  • Valid Saskatchewan Driver’s License
  • Criminal record check clearance
