Do you love working with children and helping them learn Hillcrest Early Learning Centre Daycare is looking for employees that are responsible, energetic, professional, coachable, and who are motivated to grow their careers as educators in the daycare setting.Job Responsibilities:Educators supervise children, offer structured activities and programs for children 18 months to 12 years.The staff shall be responsible for the proper execution of their duties, which shall include but are not restricted to:Develop and implement daily activities for children.Adapt programming to meet the needs and abilities of children in your group.Help children clean up after activities and role model a sense of responsibility and pride in their environment.Maintain child care equipment and assist in housekeeping and cooking duties.Be familiar with and abide by safety, first aid, fire procedures and the Child Care Regulations.Develop culturally appropriate programs and activitiesDevelop activities that introduce math and literacy conceptsBe familiar with emergency proceduresEnsure children are supervised at all times including bathroomProvide various experiences and activities for children including songs, games and story tellingProvide opportunities for sleep and rest timeEstablish (visual) routines and provide positive guidanceProvide a safe and secure environment for children to feel comfortable and welcomeClearly and effectively communicate in a manner that children understandOther duties as assignedApplicant hired will work with experienced educators that can assist and train.Qualifications:Minimum Early Childhood Education (ECE I), or willing to take classes.( Training Provided).
