Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Operates the mobile railcar mover as well as other mobile rail equipment
  • Inspects the train’s mechanical condition and detect potential mechanical problems
  • Monitors instrumentation in the mobile railcar mover
  • Be constantly aware of what is going on with the train and how different elements affect its operation (cargo weight, grade, curves, etc.)
  • Keeps the rail line, frogs and switches clear as required
  • Performs yard maintenance duties
  • Works closely with the Brakeman
  • Carries out instructions regarding specific car movements
  • Prepares and complete reports as required
  • Be 100% committed to safety
Qualifications
  • Grade 12 diploma or equivalent
  • Previous heavy industry experience is an asset
This position currently follows a Monday to Friday schedule working 8 hours per day.This position is located at the Plant Operation, located approximately 30 km from the city of Estevan. The successful candidate will be responsible for his/her own accommodations and transportation.Quick Apply
