Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Loads product into trailers and train cars
  • Vacuums and cleans the plant using various support equipment
  • Performs checks in all areas of the plant, which involves climbing lots of stairs
  • Shovels spills when required
  • Operates the granular product bagging system
  • Operates a forklift to mix bromide
  • Operates a tractor to dump ash wagon
  • Operates a skidsteer to move snow and waste material
  • Monitors the control room during breaks
  • Assists the 3rd Class Power Engineers
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Grade 12 diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to work 12-hour shift rotations (days and nights)
  • Previous heavy industry experience is an asset
This position currently follows a 28-day shift rotation working 12-hour day and night shifts from 7:00 to 7:00. The shift rotation is: 3 days, 2 off, 2 nights, 3 off, 2 days, 2 off, 3 nights, 2 off, 2 days, 3 off, 2 nights, 2 off.This position is located at the Plant Operation, located approximately 30 km from the city of Estevan. The successful candidate will be responsible for his/her own accommodations and transportation.Quick Apply
