JOB DESCRIPTIONWestmoreland Mining currently has two (2) positions available for permanent, full-time Washbay Attendants at the Estevan Mine. Reporting to the shop supervisor, this position is responsible for washing light vehicles and heavy-duty equipment in the wash bay.Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe duties of a Washbay Attendant include, but are not limited to:Washing heavy equipment prior to maintenance work;Washing light vehicles for maintenance and operations;Operating wash bay machinery and supporting equipment;Moving equipment in and out of the wash bay;Maintaining a clean and safe environment in the wash bay and shop areas;Using and replenishing commercial grade chemicals; andOther duties as required.JOB REQUIREMENTSQualificationsGrade 12 diploma or equivalentAbility to work 12-hour shift rotations (days and nights)This position currently follows a 28-day shift rotation working 12-hour day and night shifts from 7:00 to 7:00. The shift rotation is: 3 days, 2 off, 2 nights, 3 off, 2 days, 2 off, 3 nights, 2 off, 2 days, 3 off, 2 nights, 2 off.The Estevan Mine is located approximately 12 km from the city of Estevan and 16 km from the town of Bienfait.
