You will prescribe appropriate protocols within the approved delegated act procedures. Protocolling CT referrals within the approved delegated act using orders sets for CT. Plays a pivotal role in the provision of appropriate patient preparation for requested imaging exams, using clinical expertise, leadership and understand of the organization, medical directives and decision-making to improve access and quality of care. You will provide professional guidance to other health care professionals and participate as a member of the interdisciplinary teams both inside Diagnostic Imaging as well as with the inpatient programs who utilize Diagnostic Imaging services for their patients. Collaborates with patients, health care professionals and physicians.YOU HAVE:Must have a professional designation in one of the imaging professionsCT experience is preferredMinimum of 5 years recent relevant clinical experience in Diagnostic imaging.Ability to implement and evaluate planned changeAbility to define specific areas of practice and evaluate the needs of the departmentAbility to lead a team, transfer knowledge, coach and mentor othersRole requires extensive consultation with radiologists/Nuclear Physicians and referring physicians i.e. Emergency and Clinical Nurse Specialist using a teamwork approach to enhance imaging services.Ability to self-direct, interact and adapt effectively with other professionals in complex, dynamic situations.Improve productivity, increase patient access to radiologic services and enhance overall quality of patient care in Diagnostic ImagingDemonstrates clinical leadership, advanced judgment and a high level of knowledge, skills, ability and personal attributes as well as professional autonomy.Responsible to ensure effective and efficient patient flow and care; including but not inclusive are triaging a medical imaging pathway for ED patients and in-patientsPreliminary liaison (first point of contact) with physicians from the community to provide support and determine if Physician requires a consultation with the Radiologist/Nuclear PhysicianWorking with Inpatient programs and other team member to resolve issues, triage and schedule inpatient referrals and expedite patient transportationMust possess ability to document with accuracy and detailMay be required to travel between and work at all hospital campusesExcellent attendance, punctuality and work record requiredYour community thanks you for considering this role.Joining Osler now is a chance to immerse yourself in a culturally diverse, collaborative, and innovative environment.
