Job Description

Position: BuyerLocation: Toronto, ON - WestSalary: $60,000 - $100,000 YearlyIndustry: Steel/ Mining/ Pump systemEmployment Term: Full Time / Permanent Rolesamp; Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for identifying suppliers to purchase quality products and materials
  • Negotiate with suppliers to receive the best value for money
  • Work closely with suppliers to resolve quality, delivery, or pricing discrepancies.
  • Update inventory and ensure that stock levels are kept at optimal levels.
  • Conducting market research to stay up to date with the newest trends to find cost saving opportunities and new suppliers
  • Build long lasting relationships with suppliers
  • Maintain accurate records of all purchasing related activities
  • Travel as required to meet with suppliers
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualificationsamp; Experience:
  • Bachelor #39;s degree in supply chain management or a related field
  • 5 – 10 years’ experience as a Purchaser preferably in the PVC industry
  • Proficiency in using ERP systems (Nexus or similar software).
  • Knowledge of lance pipe and groundwater products and suppliers would be a definite asset
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
