Job Description

Eventscape has an exciting opportunity for a Brake Press Operator to join our metal fabrication team. The ideal candidate will be a natural problem solver with experience setting up and operating a CNC brake press and the ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.ABOUT THE ROLEthe brake press operator will:

  • read and interpret engineering drawings
  • determine and plan the sequence of operations
  • follow verbal and written instructions of numerical dimensions and tolerances
  • set up, operate, and maintain machining tools
  • load and unload material
  • align and adjust punches and dies
  • lay-out, position, and secure parts and assemblies according to specifications
  • use straightedge, combination square, calipers, and ruler
  • cut and fit material for assembly using powered saws, shears, bending, or punching machine
  • anticipate and troubleshoot challenges
  • assist the machining shop with other related projects
  • perform quality control checks
ABOUT YOUthe brake press operator will have
  • experience in setup and operation of CNC brake press (Amada)
  • physical abilities to move metal and other materials
  • ability to read technical drawings and blueprints
  • familiarity with precision measuring tools
  • experience with sheet metal
  • knowledge of tooling and tool maintenance
