Job Description

Position: Warehouse Supervisor - Afternoon ShiftLocation: Mississauga, ON Salary: $70,000 - $90,000 per year (depending on experience and qualifications)Status: Permanent / Full-TimeIndustry: Industrial / Warehouse/ Automotive / LogisticsShift: Afternoons Responsibilities:

  • Supervise a team of unionized warehouse employees, including delegation of tasks, training, coaching, and directing corrective action to resolve day-to-day operational issues
  • Plans, communicates, and executes daily shift work plan outlining work assignments
  • Continuously monitor the performance and activities of the warehouse using KPIs with a primary focus on cost controls
  • Maintain accurate inventory counts and conduct periodic spot-checks of inventory levels, supplies, or equipment
  • Ensure all orders are shipped to customers in a timely manner including investigation of lost or damaged shipments
  • Other tasks as required
Qualifications:
  • Diploma, degree or post-secondary education or equivalent experience
  • 5 years of work experience in a supervisory role ideally in a unionized warehouse environment
  • A proven leader with strong written and verbal skills to communicate with all levels of the organization
  • Direct working knowledge of operations, warehouse management, and transportation management
  • Experience with MS Office, radio frequency ID systems (RFID), bar code systems, and electronic data interchange (EDI) is an asset
  • Able to report to an Afternoon shift
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbalamp; written
