Job Description

JOIN THE TEAM THAT IS REDEFINING ARCHITECTURAL INNOVATIONEventscape is looking for a machinist who is a strong team player, familiar with a variety of metalworking machines, and capable of providing backup support for brake press and laser operations.ABOUT THE ROLEAs a machinist at Eventscape, you will ensure the efficient production of high-quality custom structures and components. Responsibilities include:

  • Setting up, operating, and maintaining various CNC metal fabrication machines.
  • Modifying CNC programs to meet specific job requirements.
  • Interpreting and working from engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Laying out, positioning, and securing parts using precision tools.
  • Maintaining tolerances and adjusting angles and dimensions.
  • Cutting, fitting, and shaping materials using powered tools and metalworking machinery, including shears, power presses, and drill presses.
  • Inspecting grooves, angles, and gaps with precision instruments.
  • Performing preventative maintenance and troubleshooting equipment malfunctions.
  • Supporting laser and brake press operations as needed.
  • Documenting work completed and maintaining accurate logs.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet production goals.
ABOUT YOUWe #39;re looking for someone with:
  • Extensive experience in metal fabrication and machining.
  • Proficiency in setting up and operating various CNC metal fabrication machines.
  • Strong ability to read technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Physical ability to move metal and other materials.
  • Forklift license or relevant experience.
  • Experience using precision tools such as straightedges, combination squares, calipers, and rulers.
  • Ability to maintain precise tolerances and make adjustments.
  • Competence in cutting and fitting materials using powered saws, shears, bending, or punching machines.
  • Commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and troubleshooting equipment malfunctions.
