Duties consist of all start-up activities for faculty which includes allocating office space, editing and posting course outlines, arranging course websites, and setting up computer access and University email accounts. The incumbent provides support to program curriculum committees, provides functional direction to part-time staff, and provides direction or informs instructors of the policies and procedures related to the delivery of tests and exams with Accessible Learning Services and Testing Services. In addition, the incumbent will organize workshops and special events for faculty that coincide with priorities around teaching and learning.What you bring to the role:Education

  • The successful incumbent will possess a four-year degree or equivalent.
Experience & Skills
  • A minimum of three years of progressively responsible and practical work experience in a post-secondary work environment.
  • Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to provide assistance and liaise with faculty members, students, and administrative staff in a tactful and diplomatic manner.
  • This job also requires the ability to adapt to constant shifts in focus and respond to numerous and unexpected challenges in a timely manner.
  • Attention to detail is necessary to accurately prepare documents in accordance with regulations or directives related to the University of Guelph-Humber
  • Proficiency with computer applications such as MS Office Suite and Outlook are also required.
