  • Maintain communication with Control Room.
  • Provide direction to outside carriers and Purolator drivers for where to position and park any trailers
  • Provide status update to Control Room of all Arrivals and Departures
  • Complete all Yard Checks - cross reference trailers with loads in the Control Room to ensure no loaded trailers are left in the yard
  • Ensure the accuracy and timely preparation, processing, distribution and retention of all necessary reports and records regarding all operating functions for yard
  • Conduct internal audit regarding safety, housekeeping, security, equipment and inventory
  • Assist with maintaining yard conditions to ensure yard safety
  • Work with hand held electronic devises to maintain inventories and track status of equipment (YMS and TMS)
Ideal Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Project or equipment administration experience an asset
  • Intermediate knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Experience coordinating linehaul and trailer movement within warehouse type environment
  • Superior communication skills both written and oral
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multi-task
  • Demonstrated aptitude with numbers
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Proven ability to work independently and as an effective team member
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
