The incumbent manages data and analysis activities which provide information to support the institution’s planning, policy formulation, and decision making in order to further the institution’s strategic plan. The incumbent is responsible for the provision of expertise in a diverse range of data analytics functions including data collection, data integration, data reporting, analysis, interpretation and data visualization.The Manager, Data Analysis and Reporting, contributes to the development of analytic strategy for the business units and oversees implementation of activities to achieve strategic success. This position requires a high degree of knowledge of analytic data holdings and methodology and the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, both internal and external. In addition, the incumbent will make recommendations to continuously grow Humber’s analytics and data management functionality using industry standards and emerging technologies. The incumbent requires strong technical and interpersonal skills to support data collection, analysis and reporting, presenting on data trends, the development of consistent data quality metrics and the implementation of related data controls for institutional reporting, operational reporting and Ministry/audit reporting.The preferred candidate will be a strategic leader with a strong understanding of the college educational structure. In leading the Data Analysis and Reporting team, the Manager will effectively oversee all data activities including assigning tasks and projects, ensuring deadlines are met, evaluating work accuracy and quality of data, and will be accountable for the overall performance of the team and standard of work.Minimum QualificationsEducationThe successful candidate will possess a 4-year degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Statistics, Business, or another relevant field.ExperienceThe incumbent will have a minimum of 5-years professional work experience. With knowledge of the college educational structure, and experience in an educational environment is a definite asset. Also, knowledge of, and experience in project management, data analytics, business analysis, data visualization, report production and management.Skills
