Duties include customer service, ensuring patient completion of screening documents, intravenous insertion where indicated and providing instructions to patients such as waiting or changing into a gown. Duties also include basic patient care.QUALIFICATIONS:Graduate of certified Medical Laboratory Assistant program or equivalent program including venipunctureHealth sciences backgroundMedical terminologyVenipuncture experience an assetCPR certificationCustomer service skillsKnowledge of Diagnostic Imaging procedures, terminology and workflow including CT and MRI an assetKnowledge of Diagnostic Imaging computer systems an asset (i.e. PACS, RIS, HIS)Knowledge of MRI safety and radiation safety practices an assetPrevious training on safe lifting and transferring techniques an assetComputer knowledgeMulti-tasking ability/critical thinking/problem solvingTeam player/excellent communication and interpersonal skillsOrganizational skills, able to prioritizeAbility to work in a fast paced and inter-professional team environmentInnovative and willing to learnDemonstrate individual leadershipSelf- motivatedAbility to work independently or in a team environmentOsler values inclusivity and diversity in the workplace.
