Teaching and learning is student-centred with emphasis on technological innovation, diversity and integrated community and clinical industry collaborations.Job DetailsPosition Title: Program Coordinator, Practical Nursing Year 2Duration of Need: The Coordinator component of this position is a one (1) year term.Faculty/Department: Faculty of Health Sciences & WellnessCampus/Location: North CampusSalary: As per Article 14.03 A 3 of the Academic Collective Agreement, a Coordinator’s allowance will be paid in addition to the successful candidate’s salary as a Professor.What you will do:In addition to a reduced load of teaching responsibilities, the incumbent will contribute to: curriculum development; lesson planning; assessing student progress and achievement; and class management. The successful candidate will be expected to establish an effective learning environment and work as a collaborative team member. In addition, the successful applicant will be expected to play an active role in student advising, student recruitment, and graduate placement. The candidate will be expected to further develop community partnerships, as well as participate on Humber College/Departmental committees and advance college initiatives. This individual will also contribute to the overall direction of the program, assisting with the promotion and marketing of the program, and developing and maintaining strong industry ties.What you bring to the role:The successful candidate will be a full-time Professor from the Practical Nursing Year 2 program, with a minimum of two years of teaching experience; possess well-developed interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills; and demonstrated ability in curriculum development and delivery.What’s In it for you
