Additional information about the Company can be found at www.abctechnologies.com.Job Summary:The Technician, Equipment Set-Up in an automotive parts manufacturing company typically involves responsibilities related to the setup, maintenance, and operation of various equipment used in the manufacturing process.Overall, the Technician, Equipment Set-Up plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of manufacturing equipment, optimizing production processes, and contributing to the overall success of the automotive parts manufacturing company.Job Responsibilities:Your supervisor may from time to time ask you to perform other related duties not specifically included in this job description. This job #39;s key responsibilities include:

  • Equipment Setup: Responsible for setting up manufacturing equipment according to production schedules and specifications. This may involve assembling, calibrating, and configuring machinery and tools to ensure proper operation.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks on manufacturing equipment to ensure optimal performance and prevent downtime. This includes conducting inspections, cleaning, lubricating, and replacing parts as needed.
  • Troubleshooting: Identify and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions or operational issues. Diagnose problems, determine root causes, and implement appropriate solutions to minimize disruptions to production.
  • Quality Control: Collaborate with quality control personnel to ensure that equipment meets quality standards and specifications. Perform checks and adjustments to maintain product quality and consistency.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while operating equipment. Ensure that safety procedures are always followed to prevent accidents or injuries.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of equipment setup, maintenance activities, and repairs performed. Keep detailed logs of equipment performance, downtime, and any issues encountered.
Job Qualifications:
  • Education: Minimum High School Diploma or Equivalent. Preference for any additional technical training or certification related to equipment setup, maintenance, or repair. This could include vocational training programs, technical schools, or certification courses in areas such as manufacturing technology, industrial maintenance, or mechanical engineering technology.
  • Previous work experience in manufacturing, automotive, or related industries.
  • Equipment Operation Experience: Familiarity with the operation of manufacturing equipment and tools relevant to the specific industry is often preferred.
  • Mechanical Aptitude: Strong mechanical aptitude and technical skills are essential for this role. Candidates should have a good understanding of mechanical systems, tools, and equipment.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: The ability to troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and implement effective solutions is crucial for success in this role.
  • Attention to Detail: Technicians must pay close attention to detail to ensure that equipment is set up correctly and maintained according to specifications.
  • Safety Awareness: A strong commitment to workplace safety is essential. Technicians must be aware of safety protocols and regulations and follow them rigorously to prevent accidents or injuries.
