Additional information about the Company can be found at www.abctechnologies.com.Job Summary:The role of a Supervisor, Maintenance in an automotive parts manufacturing company is critical for ensuring the effective operation of equipment, facilities, and infrastructure.Job Responsibilities:Your supervisor may from time to time ask you to perform other related duties not specifically included in this job description. This job #39;s key responsibilities include:

  • Team Management: Supervise and coordinate the activities of maintenance technicians, electricians, mechanics, and other personnel within the maintenance department. Provide leadership, guidance, and support to ensure team members are productive, motivated, and aligned with organizational goals.
  • Maintenance Planning and Scheduling: Develop and implement maintenance plans, schedules, and preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and maximize equipment reliability. Coordinate maintenance activities with production schedules to minimize disruptions to manufacturing operations.
  • Equipment Maintenance and Repair: Oversee the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of manufacturing equipment, machinery, and facilities. Ensure that maintenance tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with established procedures and standards.
  • Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving: Provide technical expertise and support to maintenance technicians in diagnosing equipment malfunctions, identifying root causes of issues, and implementing effective solutions. Utilize diagnostic tools, equipment manuals, and knowledge of equipment operation to resolve problems quickly and minimize downtime.
  • Inventory and Spare Parts Management: Manage inventory levels of spare parts, tools, and supplies required for maintenance activities. Ensure that critical spare parts are available when needed to support timely equipment repairs and minimize disruptions to production.
Job Qualifications:
  • Education: Technical / College Diploma in relevant field, accompanied by relevant work experience or additional certifications. Programs in areas such as industrial maintenance, electrical technology, or mechanical engineering technology can provide valuable knowledge and skills for maintenance supervision roles.
  • Technical Experience: 1-3 years in a relevant technical field. 
  • Previous Supervisory Experience: Prior experience in a supervisory or experience as a lead technician, maintenance team leader, or assistant supervisor, with demonstrated strong leadership, communication, and team management skills.
  • Industry Experience: Minimum of 3 years automotive / manufacturing experience
  • Maintenance Experience: Prior experience working in maintenance roles within an industrial or manufacturing environment is typically required. This role also requires hands-on experience with equipment maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting, as well as familiarity with preventive maintenance practices and reliability improvement techniques.
  • Technical Skills: Strong technical skills are essential for maintenance supervisors, including proficiency in equipment maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting techniques. Candidates should have a solid understanding of mechanical, electrical, and/or hydraulic systems commonly found in manufacturing equipment.
