Job Description

Threeosix is a multi-discipline leader in the mining and construction industry, priding itself on a professional and progressive work environment for all involved.We are currently hiring full-time Journeyperson and Apprentice Concrete Carpenters to join our team for work near Exshaw, AB. Travel and LOA will be providedResponsibilities:

  • Read plans, blueprints, job orders, and drawings to accurately plan building and repair projects
  • Cut and shape construction materials to precise specifications based on measurements
  • Journeyperson to mentor apprentices and other employees
  • Perform layouts and math calculations
  • Quantity takeoff of materials required to complete a job or task
  • Operating various hand and power tools
  • Underpin and shore structures or excavations
  • Build concrete forms for footings, columns, piers, beams, girders, walls, stairs, and slabs
  • Layout and install concrete reinforcement materials
  • Casting and finishing of concrete structures
  • Construct temporary structures including scaffolding, guards, railings, ladders, barricades, covered walkways, hoarding and rigging installations
Requirements:
  • Journeyperson: Journeyperson Trade Certification
  • Apprentice: Carpentry experience, minimum 1 year
  • WHMIS 2015; Fall Protection and SCOT/CSTS09 considered an asset
  • Follow all applicable safety regulations
  • Construction knowledge
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to solve arithmetic problems quickly and accurately
  • Physical stamina;
  • Attention to detail
