Job Description

Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory has an opening for a mature full-time Chocolatier in beautiful Fernie, B.C. We are looking for an individual who is passionate about life.We are a favourite stop for many in the Elk Valley and tourists from all around the world, so we love to wow them with customer service and delicious gourmet goodies.As a team member you get the opportunity to work with chocolate and create mouth watering treats. We provide training in store and you get to try everything so you can give your testimony to each customer.We work great as a team because we are accountable, self-motivated, positive, uplifting and respect one another. We help each other win in our work environment. Integrity is highly valued.You will also get on-on-one mentoring and leadership experience.5 shifts a week.Training available.Must like working with customers and as a teamAttention to details, with precision to recipes.Lifts 40lbsPlan chocolate production and fulfil orders.Ability to stand during shiftMotivated, positive, high level of integrity and character.Teachable.Cleanliness/tidiness. Must be able to keep machines & kitchen area organized and clean.Organized and plan ahead. Take inventory and prioritize.Follow all food policies, quality control and consistency.Qualifications:

  • Food safe certificate
  • Previous kitchen, cook, baker, chocolatier experience is an asset.
  • Clear and precise English.
  • Ability to stand/walk during shift and some light physical labour
  • Demonstrates initiative and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Smile, welcome and engage with customers.
  • Professional and clean appearance.
  • Growth/leadership mindset.
Education: High School diploma-Employee discount-Great training-Flexibility around other jobsNote: We are not an allergy free environment.
