Job Description

A resort of the Canadian Rockies Inc. is looking to fill the position of Line/Prep Cook, at Fernie Alpine Resort. Reporting to the manager on duty, the ideal candidate will have previous experience, be an energetic individual with willingness to learn new skills, have a positive attitude, be teamwork-oriented and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.   • To ensure a comfortable and friendly atmosphere for both guests and staff
  • Prepare food items according to resort F&B specifications
  • Follow kitchen’s systems & principles
  • Promote a safe, sanitized work environment, ensuring the highest levels of cleanliness, safety and food storage management
  • Flexible, versatile, and thrive on working in a fast-paced environment
  • Ensuring the highest level of service and guest experience
  • Provide non-stop team work with your teammates and managers
  • Know and adhere to the policies, rules and protocols outlined in the Resorts of the Canadian Rockies Employee Handbook
  • Know and follow all safe work procedures included in the Safety Management Program
  • Know and comply with all expectations of the Injury Management/Return-to-Work Programs
  • To perform other tasks and duties that are applicable
Qualifications:
  • Previous cook and food preparation experience required
  • Cook training certification an asset
  • Food safe certification an asset, may be obtained upon hire
  • Demonstrate a willingness to learn new skills and a positive attitude
