Position: Day SecurityDepartment: Security and Risk ManagementLocation: Fernie Alpine ResortReporting to: Director of Resort AdministrationAvailability: Winter SeasonalResorts of the Canadian Rockies Inc. is looking to fill the position of Seasonal Security at Fernie Alpine Resort. Reporting to the Risk Manager, the ideal candidate will be a reliable, independent worker, physically capable of working outdoors in a mountain resort environment with a customer service orientation. Some of the responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:Duties:To ensure public and personal safety at all timesEnsure compliance of RCR Covid-19 safety protocols.Offer a high degree of guest serviceAssist with any security issuesConduct walk-through checks on all resort buildings as per shift scheduleConduct drive-through checks on all resort parking lots and roadways as per shift scheduleConduct daily inspections of all on mountain facilitiesConduct risk assessments and safety checks.Complete incident reports as requiredKnow and adhere to the policies, rules and protocols outlined in the Resorts of the Canadian Rockies Employee HandbookKnow and follow all safe work procedures included in the Safety Management ProgramKnow and comply with all expectations of the Injury Management/Return-to-Work ProgramsTo perform other tasks and duties that are applicableQualifications:Previous experience in safety related role, an assetExcellent communication skillsOrganized, independent workerValid driver’s licenseMust be competent skierAbility to maintain confidentiality requiredThis is a winter seasonal position offering full-time and part-time hours.
