Job Description

Position: Front Desk SupervisorDepartment: Front Office, Lizard Creek Lodge & Fernie Slopeside LodgeLocation: Fernie Alpine ResortReporting to: Front Desk Manager / Hotel General ManagerAvailability: HIRING NOWLizard Creek Lodge and Fernie Slopeside Lodge are looking to fill the position of Front Desk Supervisor, serving the hotels at Fernie Alpine Resort by working a variety of AM and PM shifts. Reporting to the Front Office Manager and Hotel General Manager, the ideal candidate will display professionalism, possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, is able to work independently with a focus on accuracy and a commitment to providing exceptional guest experiences. Some of the responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:Duties:

  • To ensure a safe, comfortable and friendly atmosphere for both guests and staff
  • Monitor and sustain Standard Operating Procedures of the Front Desk at two hotels
  • Ensure that the appearance and conduct of the Front Desk team is at all times consistent with the resort brand
  • Train, coach and develop a successful and enthusiastic team of Front Desk employees
  • Supervise scheduling in accordance with employment policies
  • Complete payroll processes in an accurate and timely manner
  • Maintain effective communication with other departments to fulfil the overall resort objectives
  • Know, adhere and enforce the policies, rules and protocols outlined in the Resorts of the Canadian Rockies Employee Handbook
  • Know, adhere and enforce all safe work procedures included in the Safety Management Program
  • Know adhere and enforce all expectations of the Injury Management/Return-to-Work Programs
  • To perform other tasks and duties that are applicable
  • Cover for the Front Desk Manager in their absence
Qualifications:
  • Front Office experience with proven experience in maintaining superior standards
  • Experience in positively leading a team
  • Proficient in English both verbally and written
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, Outlook)
This is a full-time year-round role requiring flexibility to meet varying business demands including weekend shifts.
