Job Description

Job brief

  • Lead our team of housekeepers and ensure we provide excellent owner and guest services.
  • Ensure that housekeepers are completing all tasks correctly and efficiently.
  • Make sure product orders come through, monitor how well employees are doing, and take corrective actions when necessary to help improve performance levels.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve the functioning of housekeeping department but also demonstrate excellent management skills
  • Assign tasks, inspect work to ensure FCR standards are met
  • Maintain inventory list in case anything needs replacing
Responsibilities
  • Oversee housekeeping staff duties on a daily basis
  • Ensure housekeepers have proper tools, supplies and equipment for their shifts
  • Support and assist housekeepers in delivering a high quality cleaning standard consistently
  • Pre arrival / Departure Inspections / Security Inspections
  • Inspect properties for cleanliness
  • Assist manager with scheduling shifts and arrange for replacements in cases of absence
  • Assist manager with new hire and train housekeepers on cleaning and maintenance tasks
  • Establish and educate staff on cleanliness, tidiness and hygiene standards
  • Motivate team members and resolve any issues that occur on the job
  • Respond to guest complaints and special requests
  • Monitor and replenish cleaning products stock
  • Receive stock orders, check items with packing slip
  • Unpack and store in appropriate locations, stock supplies shelf
  • Ensure compliance with safety and sanitation policies in all areas
  • Available to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends and statutory holidays
  • Meet with guests and owners as needed, and other duties as assigned by general manager
Job Requirements/Qualifications:
  • Work experience as a Housekeeping Supervisor or similar role
  • Hands-on experience with cleaning and maintenance tasks for large organizations
  • Ability to use industrial cleaning equipment and products
  • Excellent organizational and team management skills
  • Stamina to handle the physical demands of the job
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends
  • High school diploma is a plus
  • Salary/Wage: $24
