Job Description

Position: IT AssistantDepartment: ITLocation: Fernie Alpine ResortReporting to: IT Coordinator/ManagerAvailability: Winter SeasonalResorts of the Canadian Rockies Inc. is looking to fill the winter seasonal position of IT Assistant, at Fernie Alpine Resort. Reporting to the IT Coordinator/Manager, the ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator and team player, have previous experience and a customer service orientation. We focus on building and maintaining long lasting relationships with our staff and guests and encourage you to come “Experience the Ultimate” and be a part of our staff team. Some of the responsibilities for the position include, but not limited to:Duties:

  • Installing and configuring computer hardware, software, systems, networks, webcams, printers and scanners
  • Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks
  • Providing technical support across the company
  • Maintain policies and procedures of RCR IT service to ensure company goals are met and guest expectations are exceeded
  • Maintain equipment fleet including, inventory control, maintenance, repairs, and disposal
  • Maintain and contribute to the corporate values of RCR and Safety Management Program
  • Know and adhere to the policies, rules and protocols outlined in the Resorts of the Canadian Rockies Employee Handbook
  • Know and follow all safe work procedures included in the Safety Management Program
  • Know and comply with all expectations of the Injury Management/Return-to-Work Programs
  • To perform other tasks and duties that are applicable
Qualifications:
  • Information Technology related education/certification/degree and/or relevant experience
  • Experience with Windows 7, Windows 10, Windows Server 2008, 2012, 2016
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and Libre Office
  • Experience with IOS and Android
  • Experience working with networks, network printers, and Wi-Fi access points
  • Personal interest in mountain recreation an asset.
