Position: Kids Mountain Camp LeaderDepartment: Summer Adventure SchoolLocation: Fernie Alpine ResortReporting to: Sports School Assistant DirectorAvailability: ImmediateResorts of the Canadian Rockies Inc. is looking to fill the position of Kids Mountain Camp Leader at Fernie Alpine Resort. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working with children, will be an excellent communicator with a positive attitude and a customer service orientation.Duties:To ensure a safe, comfortable and friendly atmosphere for both guests and staffFollowing WildSafe BC Ranger Program guidelines and implement schedule of activities and eventsEnergetic, fun, outgoing attitude with our guests and childrenAble to lead creative outside activities dailyExecute daily age-appropriate programming for children ranging in age from 8 to 12 yearsWork well under pressure, multi task and meet deadlinesExceptional guest relations with families and childrenGreeting parents and children upon arrivalCreate a smooth transition from separation from parentsWork well with othersPunctual and flexibleKnow, adhere and enforce the policies, rules and protocols outlined in the Resorts of the Canadian Rockies Employee HandbookKnow, adhere and enforce all safe work procedures included in the Safety Management ProgramKnow, adhere and enforce all expectations of the Injury Management/Return to Work ProgramsTo perform other tasks and duties that are applicableQualifications:Previous Camp Leading experience preferredStaying safe in bear country course an asset, will train!Physically fit and capable of hiking2- and 3-day camps offered Monday to Friday from 9:45am – 1:00pm.
