Job Description

Fernie Alpine Resort is looking to fill the position of Lift Operator. Reporting to the Lift Operations Supervisor, the ideal candidate will have strong customer service skills, a positive attitude, be physically capable and enjoy working in an outdoor mountain environment. Come join our staff team and Experience the Ultimate. Some of the responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:Duties:

  • To ensure a comfortable and friendly atmosphere for both guests and staff
  • To assist and upsell guests at every opportunity
  • Ensure public and personal safety on lifts
  • Offer the highest degree of guest service
  • Assist in the scanning of lift tickets as needed
  • Have a high degree of lift knowledge and be able to operate a designated lift with confidence
  • Carry out MODULA (Maintain, Operate, Design, Unload, Load, Areas)
  • Adhere to the rules and regulations outlined in the Resorts of the Canadian Rockies Employee Handbook and Safety Management Program
  • Perform other tasks and duties asked of you by your supervisor
  • Know and adhere to the policies, rules and protocols outlined in the Resorts of the Canadian Rockies Employee Handbook
  • Know and follow all safe work procedures included in the Safety Management Program
  • Know and comply with all expectations of the Injury Management/Return-to-Work Programs
  • To perform other applicable tasks and duties
Qualifications:
  • Outgoing, confident & friendly
  • Good communication & interpersonal skills
  • Over the age of 18
  • Punctual & reliable
  • Physically capable with a passion to work outdoors in the winter
  • Ability to ski / snowboard is an asset
This is a full time winter seasonal position, offering 4 days per week, up to 9 hours per day. RCR offers industry competitive compensation and benefits in a great working environment.
