Fernie Alpine Resort is looking to fill the position of Lift Operator. Reporting to the Lift Operations Supervisor, the ideal candidate will have strong customer service skills, a positive attitude, be physically capable and enjoy working in an outdoor mountain environment. Some of the responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:Duties:To ensure a comfortable and friendly atmosphere for both guests and staffTo assist and upsell guests at every opportunityEnsure public and personal safety on liftsOffer the highest degree of guest serviceAssist in the scanning of lift tickets as neededHave a high degree of lift knowledge and be able to operate a designated lift with confidenceCarry out MODULA (Maintain, Operate, Design, Unload, Load, Areas)Adhere to the rules and regulations outlined in the Resorts of the Canadian Rockies Employee Handbook and Safety Management ProgramPerform other tasks and duties asked of you by your supervisorKnow and adhere to the policies, rules and protocols outlined in the Resorts of the Canadian Rockies Employee HandbookKnow and follow all safe work procedures included in the Safety Management ProgramKnow and comply with all expectations of the Injury Management/Return-to-Work ProgramsTo perform other applicable tasks and dutiesQualifications:Outgoing, confident & friendlyGood communication & interpersonal skillsOver the age of 18Punctual & reliablePhysically capable with a passion to work outdoors in the winterAbility to ski / snowboard is an assetThis is a full time winter seasonal position, offering 4 days per week, up to 9 hours per day.
