Position: Lost Boys Café kitchenDepartment: Food and BeverageLocation: Fernie Alpine ResortReporting to: F&B Mountain ManagerAvailability: Winter seasonalResorts of the Canadian Rockies Inc. is looking to fill the position of Lost Boys Café kitchen staff at Fernie Alpine Resort. Reporting to the Mountain Food and Beverage Manager, the ideal candidate will have previous F&B experience, will be an excellent communicator with a customer service orientation and keen to work in a mountain environment. Some of the responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:Duties:To ensure a comfortable and friendly atmosphere for both guests and staffTo assist and upsell guests at every opportunityMaintaining policies and procedures of RCR and F&B departmentEnsuring a clean and safe working environment by following proper HACCP proceduresPrepare menu items and food products as per outlet standardsSki in and out inventory and garbageProper rotation procedures (FIFO)Restocking the area as necessary and after peak timesDaily cleaning dutiesCommunication with your teammates / multitasking / teamworkKnow and adhere to the policies, rules and protocols outlined in the Resorts of the Canadian Rockies Employee HandbookKnow and follow all safe work procedures included in the Safety Management ProgramKnow and comply with all expectations of the Injury Management/Return-to-Work ProgramsTo perform other tasks and duties that are applicableQualifications:Must be outgoing, engaging personalityMust be physically capable to lift heavy objectsMust be a team player, strong organizational skills, excellent communication skillsPrevious experience in the service industry required‘Food Safe’ and ‘Serving it Right’ certification an assetMust be an intermediate skierFull time winter seasonal position, 4 days/week.
