You deliver programs and services that focuson excellence in child care while making a significant contribution towards the advancement of child care in thecommunities that the Prince George and Area CCRR serves.You spend within an approved budget, hire, supervise and terminate all staff and volunteers within thecoordinator’s responsibility areas, in consultation with the Director of Child Care Service. Ensure that all systemsmeet Association standards of confidentiality, safety, quality, concern for the environment and health and are incompliance with relevant government regulations and laws at all times.Your Major responsibilities are to:

  • Know, understand and maintain all Provincial standards in the delivery of Child Care Resource and
Referral (CCRR) services.
  • Know and maintain all YMCA Policies and Procedures
  • Coach, develop and support a team of staff to achieve excellence in service orientation.
  • Provide strategic leadership in the development and delivery of CCRR services to all communities
listed in the Prince George and Area service contract.
  • Oversee the delivery of CCRR services to child care providers and families, ensuring Provincial
Standards and YMCA Policies and Procedures are followed.
  • Provide strong customer service and support to those individuals and organizations utilizing the
services of the YMCA CCRR.
  • Provide leadership and day-to-day supervision of all direct reports.
  • Provide direct front line service as required.
  • All other duties as per the job description
Qualifications
  • Early Childhood Education Certificate, a Child and Youth Care Degree, or equivalent education/experience
  • Minimum 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role
  • Minimum 3 years working in a child care setting (experience in family child care an asset)
  • Facilitation experience an asset
  • Emergency Child Care First Aid certificate or willingness to obtain
  • Strong administrative and financial skills
  • A strategic lens around diversity equity and inclusion
  • Experience managing Ministry contracts, and knowledge of Government policies and regulations for all
childcare options would be an asset
  • Immunization Record and TB test
  • Three professional references
  • Clear drivers abstract
  • The successful candidate will be required to provide a current and satisfactory Criminal Record Check and
