Job Description

Position Title: Logistics Analyst - Systemsamp; RatePosition Type: Regular - Full-TimePosition Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada ; Florenceville-Bristol, New Brunswick, Canada ; Oakbrook Terrace, Illinois, USRequisition ID: 25283McCain Foods is currently looking for a Logistics Systemsamp; Rate Analyst to join our North American Supply Chain team! This position can be located at any of our three corporate offices, Florenceville-Bristol, NB, Toronto, ON or Chicago, IL. As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely data maintenance and reliable system functionality for McCain Logistics Operations NA team as well as interdependent system functions that impact the McCain Customer Solutions team.Key Responsibilities:

  • Owns the Transportation Management System (TMS) queue management for rate inquiries and load costs and serves as support for Freight Payment Coordinator activities.
  • Accurate and timely data maintenance (carrier, rate, lane, capacity, route) within the TMS, SAP and peripheral systems in support of McCain Logistics NA team.
  • Ensure reliable system functionality for McCain Logistics Operations NA team as well as interdependent system functions that impact the McCain Customer Service team (ie SAP route).
  • Field all inquiries regarding transportation rates associated with customer sales bids, customer pickup allowance, network modeling, customer sourcing change requests, potato analysis for Agriculture team, freight index benchmarking and stock transfer standard rates.
  • Interfacing with Logistics Operations team and Logistics Procurement team to ensure that masterdata across Logistics Team systems and reports contain current and accurate information to facilitate educated decision making and operational execution of McCain freight.
  • Maintain quarterly refresh of both: McCain #39;s published National Billed Freight Table and Freight Rate self-service tool used by internal business partners.
  • Ensure proper administration of FedEx portal - users and proper GL information and remedying IDOC errors related to incorrect GL information being used by business teams.
  • Administer fuel surcharge program for the NA network, where necessary.
  • IDOC error and zero rating error monitoring and corrections (order, shipment, load, batch/websettle)
  • Reporting and KPIs as well as Logistics rate and routing guide insights for McCain Logistics NA team and their cross functional business stakeholders
  • Administer the Customer Pickup Program on behalf of Sales and Customer Solutions teams.
  • Responsible for process mapping and understanding of various methods of customer pricing to ensure proper stakeholders are informed and engaged in decisions that may impact pricing to customer.
  • May assist with collection of required supporting materials for annual audit. Focus on continuous improvement and on-going support of existing tools and processes.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor #39;s degree in Business - Supply Chain or Logistics focus is preferred. Finance, Data analytics or related fields are also acceptable.
  • 2-3 years of experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, Freight analyst, or similar role is required.
  • Experienced with Transportation Management Systems and SAP (specifically order creation through post-goods issue)
  • Strong understanding of transportation processes and carrier rating
  • Strong analytical skills with demonstrated ability to identify outliers/anomalies within dataset and apply logic for root cause and articulate findings.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple demanding tasks and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Self-disciplined and highly organized
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • Good understanding of Finance principles and fundamentals
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
