Job Description

Job DescriptionCEDA is hiring a Journeyman, Parts Technician to support the day-to-day operations of our warehouse/ town shop in Fort McMurray!What we offer:

Key Duties and Responsibilities
  • General warehouse upkeep/housekeeping – you cleanup after yourself and are proud of your work space
  • Create pick tickets and issue materials – this where your knowledge with FX comes in handy
  • Pick and bill stock to fill work orders
  • Coordinate the shipping and receiving of freight with multiple carriers
  • Handle inventory issues maintaining min and max levels of stock
  • Loading/Unloading freight using a forklift
  • Act as a buyer and negotiate with vendors
  • Other duties as assigned
Role Specifications
  • Journeyman Parts Technician or 4th year apprentice
  • 2 – 5 years of related work experience with at least:
    • 2+ years of heavy duty automotive mechanical parts experience
    • 2+ years of shipping and receiving work experience
    • 1+ Experience as a buyer negotiating with vendors
  • Prior experience with ERP systems is an asset, specifically using:
    • AX for purchasing
    • FX for transferring costs
  • Fork Lift Training is considered an asset
  • Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract
  • Valid ESC CSO certification or CSTS-09
  • Ability to complete a pre-employment drugamp; alcohol test

  • Ability to prioritize and initiate innovative solutions
  • Demonstrates strong organizational and problem solving skills
  • Perform physically demanding work including climbing multiple flights of stairs and carrying equipment (able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis)
