Job Description

Temporary Industrial Turnaround Security Personnel – Fort McMurray ABBackwoods plays an essential role for our clients and the public. The TURNAROUND SECURITY GUARD position helps maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients during their Turnaround project. They preserve order while enforcing regulations for a client site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the general site.We are driven by a clear corporate culture and purpose, which helps us live according to our mission and virtues of driving economic opportunity by empowering indigenous people and communities, being accountable, a great teammate, a high performer, and having grit. These virtues are at the heart of our culture, help define who we are and guide our actions.Required Skillsamp; Qualifications:

  • Must have an Alberta Security License.
  • Standard First Aid w. CPRamp; AED
  • Ability to pass a Drug and Alcohol Test
  • 1-year Industrial Experience Preferred
  • Ability to handle a fast paced and dynamic environment. Ensuring consistent operational procedures are executed in an orderly fashion.
  • Ability to work under pressure and make sound decisions in changing environments and potential emergency situations.
  • Ability to carry out written and verbal instructions including writing comprehensive reports.
Essential Job Functions:
  • Represent Backwoods with a high level of professionalism and customer service skills, as well as effective communication skills in dealing with clients, site personnel, emergency personnel, and the public.
  • Writing detailed and accurate reports regarding all incidents
  • Providing a high degree of customer service in a dynamic and challenging environment
  • Ability to de-escalate situations that may arise and liaise with emergency personnel; provide support.
  • Capability to work a rotational shift schedule. Shift times, rotation, and hours vary.
