SummaryJob Title: Grader Operator - (Heavy Equipment Operator)Location: Northeast British Columbia, (Tumbler Ridge, Chetwynd, Mackenzie, BC)Language of Work: EnglishStart Date: ImmediateSchedule / Terms of Employment: 12-hour shifts, (7 days on / 7 days off)Primary PurposeThe Grader Operator will be responsible for providing support to mine operations in an active open pit coal mine.Duties and Responsibilities

  • Candidates must be able to operate Cat 16H graders safely and productively in a mining environment.
  • Committed and have the ability to learn from others and adopt best practices while maintaining a strong focus on safety, integrity and reliability.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and respectfully with peers, trainees and supervisors.
  • Self motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Completion of Grade 12.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
Skills and Abilities
  • First Aid/Mine Rescue Training is Considered an Asset.
  • Physically Fit with the Ability to Perform Physical Labor.
  • Strong Communication Skills.
  • Willingness to Learn.
  • Safety Focused.
  • Positive Attitude.
