Job Description

Rentco Equipment Ltd. is a fast-paced local company that has been servicing the Peace Region for 60 years. We provide construction, oilfield, and homeowner equipment and consumables in the areas. Our Fort St. John branch is an authorized dealer for Bobcat, Develon, Stihl, and Hilti.We are hiring a full-time Equipment Rental/Sales (Front Counter) Representative to our Fort St. John branch.As the Equipment Rental/Sales Representative, you are responsible for:

  • Providing quality customer service in person, over the phone, and via email
  • Advising and recommending equipment and consumables to customers.
  • Processing sales and rental transactions
  • Maintaining a high level of customer service with thorough product and service knowledge
  • Creating work orders for damaged or defective equipment
  • Verifying received shipments by checking order against shipping documents and notifying management of any discrepancies and omissions
  • Keeping shelf selection areas stocked, clean, and orderly
You have the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:
  • 2-3 years experience in the rental industry or proven knowledge of construction, forestry, and oilfield equipment.
    • Experience with Stihl products or similar outdoor products would be an asset
  • Ability to work Monday- Friday and be a part of a weekend and on-call schedule
  • Excellent customer skills
  • Excellent time management and problem solving skills
  • Intermediate computer skills, including programs Microsoft Excel and Outlook, and the ability to learn our internal software
