Job Description

United General has been servicing New Brunswick policyholders since 1993. Located in Fredericton, NB, we provide auto insurance delivered in partnership with the New Brunswick Mutual companies; SE Mutual, Stanley Mutual and Carleton-Fundy Mutual and Nova Scotia Mutuals; Antigonish Farmers Mutual and Clare Mutual in Nova Scotia.Are you looking for a rewarding career with a growing Company Then we have the job for you!   • Underwrite new business and endorsements. Review risks for acceptability, reject, endorse, renew or cancel contracts in compliance with company underwriting policies/procedures, applicable laws and regulation.
  • Communicate decisions and respond to requests in a prompt and professional manner
  • Collaborate with claims department and make appropriate changes to policies
  • Build positive working relationships with internal and external parties of agents and brokers in New Brunswick and Nova Scotia.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 3-5 years of insurance related experience
  • University Degree or College Diploma is an asset
  • Completion of a CIP or CAIB designation is highly recommended to achieve full potential for the position or working towards same.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Bilingualism an asset but not a requirement.
  • Strong analytical, organizational and time management skills
  • Superior interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently and within a team
  • Proficient with computer applications, including MS Word
