Canning Operator – Servicing the Craft Beer/Cider Industry.We are a growing packaging and materials company based in Fredericton, NB, and Windsor, NS that offers its employees growth opportunities, technical experience, and work in the craft beverage (and yes, that includes beer!) industry.The Company:Craft Coast Canning Ltd. is a mobile craft beverage canning operation that services the Maritime craft beverage market. All employees are committed to the growth and support of the Maritime craft beverage industry.The Location:Craft Coast Canning Ltd. is based in Noonan, NB. Although part of our operations are based just outside of Fredericton, we service the entire Maritimes. This role will be primarily packaging beverages at our customers’ facilities and as such, the successful candidate should be prepared for frequent travel between Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, and P.E.I.The Position:We’re looking for a Canning Operator with a valid driver’s license, & a clean driver’s abstract, and a willingness to travel across the Maritimes regularly. All necessary training will be provided. We offer opportunities to grow and advance your career with a young business as well as engage in a vibrant and exciting industry.Dependent on the weekly schedule, some jobs will allow the operators to depart and return home the same day. Others may require operators to depart on a two- or three-day trip. All costs will be covered when traveling on the road (hotels, meals, gas, etc.).Some of the day-to-day responsibilities you can expect with the job are the following:

• Work closely with another operator while on the job.
• Conduct inspections of vehicles before departing and after returning.
• Pack and load products onto trucks according to the company’s specifications.
• Setup and dismantle canning equipment at the brewery.
• Control and adjust machine settings.
• Feed empty cans into the machine.
• Inspect can quality with precision and measuring tools.
• Fix issues that might occur during the shift.
• Check output to spot any machine-related mistakes or flaws.
• Keep records of amounts completed and other required information.
• Clean and sanitize canning equipment at the end of the shift.

The Requirements (Applicants should have the following minimum qualifications):

• A valid driver’s license, with a clean driving record.
• Flexibility with hours and duties, and a willingness to travel frequently.
• A strong interest in the craft beverage industry.
• Leadership, teamwork, and collaboration skills.
• Communication skills with customers.
• Strong creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Interest in developing technical skills (you will be setting up, operating, and troubleshooting automated packaging equipment).
