Job Description

The Crowne Plaza Fredericton Lord Beaverbrook is Frederictons only 4+ Star downtown waterfront hotel. Our Maxwells Restaurant is renowned as one of the finest dining experiences in Fredericton. The Joyce Pub offers a unique dining experience featuring 36 local NB craft beers on tap, the most in Atlantic Canada! Working at the Crowne is a fun, rewarding experience as you get to learn from and work alongside some of the finest hospitality professionals in the industry.Responsibilities:

  • Manage, motivate and inspire the kitchen team to produce a food product that sets us apart in the local and Atlantic Canadian market.
  • Establish and maintain quality service standards for the department.
  • Responsible for professional and efficient operations.
  • Coaching, leading, and developing a strong and cohesive culinary team.
  • Develop and deliver training plans to ensure consistency in food quality and service excellence, and provide continuous learning opportunities for the team.
  • Develop and administer the operating budget and forecasts for the Kitchen with a focus on food & labor costs.
  • Develop and manage relationships with key suppliers and contractors.
  • Design and execute business and marketing plans in order to continuously improve revenues and profitability.
  • Develop service and product standards to meet and/or exceed market expectations.
  • Stay abreast of food & beverage trends, remaining current in local, regional and national trends in the industry.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years of Food and Beverage management experience, red seal certified
  • Passion and drive to deliver a unique and positive experience for guests
  • A creative and strong supporter of NB local products
  • Excellent knowledge of product trends and current awareness of industry standards
  • Strong catering and banquet knowledge and ability to develop new markets
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills as well as strong communication, organizational and team-building abilities.
  • Proven ability to assist in the development of advertising and promotional programs for the Food and Beverage division.
  • Previous experience in developing and managing labor and food budgets.
  • Strong human resource management and employee relation skills, including a strong commitment to training and development
