Our Government & External Relations team is looking for a Public Policy Analyst to join their team. As a recognized top employer of the National Capital Region, we are proud of our collaborative culture of 450 high-caliber professionals who help develop, support and operate our renewable energy portfolio in Canada.You’ll want to join our team for: · The competitive compensation package· Opportunities for professional growth· Our health, dental & paramedical benefits· Our retirement savings plan· Our new LEED-certified office building located near vieux-hull’s vibrant restaurant scene· The on-site gym & bike storage roomWhat you’ll be doing: · Conducting research and analysis on public policy issues of relevance to the energy sector, with an emphasis on renewables, clean fuels, government programs and regulations;· Keeping up to date with pertinent legislation, economic trends and developments in government policy, and determining opportunities and risk for Evolugen;· Proposing and developing energy-related public policy positions for Evolugen related to Municipal, Provincial and Federal policies, regulations and programs;· Preparing written communications – letters, memos, reports, presentations – reflecting research results;· Working in close collaboration with the business development team to ensure business priorities are reflected in our policy positions;· Attending seminars/webinars related to public policy priorities for Evolugen;· Representing Evolugen in renewable energy associations working groups.You should apply if you have: · Exceptional writing and presentation skills;· Strong understanding of the Canadian political landscape;· Strong understanding of the Canadian energy sector;· Ability to adapt and pivot quickly to changing priorities.What you must have: · Undergraduate degree in related discipline· 1-2 years experience in a related government department (Finance, Energy, Natural Resources, Environment) or equivalent experience.Evolugen embraces and promotes the principles of diversity, equity and inclusion.
