All qualified individuals are encouraged to apply, including individuals with disabilities and Protected Veterans.How You’ll Perform the RoleThis position is responsible for supporting the sales efforts at a Sherwin-Williams paint store, servicing wholesale and retail customers. Main duties include but are not limited to:

• Assisting customers, with special emphasis on decorative products such as wallcovering, window treatments, faux finishing materials, etc.
• Providing in store colour consultations to homeowners and other customers by using internal tools and databases.
• Providing assistance to sales representatives outside of the store.
• Maintaining the wallcovering and window treatment libraries, lending procedures and displays.
• Ensuring that orders for these products are handled properly.
• Tinting and mixing paint, pulling appropriate products from the sales floor or warehouse, and assisting with deliveries and warehouse duties as required.

Our Must Haves – These are our Basic Qualifications, hit apply if you meet all of them!

• Be 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or comparable certification (e.g. GED).
• Legally authorized to work in the country for which you are applying for employment without now or in the future needing sponsorship for employment visa status.
• Able to retrieve material from shelves and floor stacks and lift and carry up to 50 lbs with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Able to distinguish the difference between colours with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Able to operate a computer and communicate via the telephone with or without reasonable accommodation.

Extras to Help you Stand Out – These are not required for you to be eligible to apply but are preferred. Don’t be afraid to brag about any of the following:

• Valid drivers license.
• Having a passion for colour and for helping customers’ design ideas come to life.
• Prior decorative sales experience, particularly in the area of wallcovering.
• An understanding of DIY customer project expectations, and advanced product and colour coordination skills.
• Associate Degree or related college courses.
• Customer service skills, including problem solving and handling customer complaints.
• Ability to speak a second language.
